Sexuality Counseling
Sexual dissatisfaction is far more common than many are willing to admit, and this puts stress on many relationships. There are many factors which contribute to sexual dissatisfaction. Some of these are: false or inadequate information about sexuality; an unwillingness to learn, adjust, and be creative; differences about sexual needs and preferences; biological changes; sexual dysfunction; relational difficulties; medical conditions; mental health disorders; and physical disability. We help our clients identify, embrace, and fulfill their sexuality through education, self-discovery and adjustment in their attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. Focus areas of our sexuality counseling include:
low or no sexual desires
sex and chronic illness
sexual shame and anxiety
gender identity issues
self-esteem and body image concerns
disagreement about the frequency of sex and sexual preferences
male and female arousal and orgasm difficulties
sex and aging concerns
same-sex relationships
healing from sexual abuse
Relationship Counseling
Our relationship counseling is based on the strategies used by Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills (PAIRS), one of the relationship education programs in which we have been trained. It is focused on helping couples develop habits that support and nurture love, passion, and intimacy. We also utilize our training as Prepare-Enrich facilitators in our work to build strong relationships. In this model, couples engage in assessments which show their strength and growth areas, and these identified issues become the focus areas of our counseling. Some of the issues we address in our relationship counseling, include:
exploring strength and growth areas
couples conflict and communication issues
strengthening emotional connection
FEES
Rates:
$125.00 per individual (50 minutes) session.
$225.00 per (50 minutes) couples’ session.
Fees for workshops and classes are listed on the respective promotion brochures.
Note:
Fees for services to be rendered are expected at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.
A cost will be assigned for time spent in work outside the session on matters such us consultation with other professionals, preparing releases, telephone conversations, etc.
If it is necessary to extend the time of a session the fee will be appropriately prorated.

Insurance:
We DO NOT ACCEPT insurance.
Cancellation Policy:
We have a standard policy that requires 24 hours cancellation notice. If less than 24 hours notice is provided, there will be a charge for half of the scheduled fee. If the client(s) fail to show for the appointment, the full fee will be payable, unless the appointment is rescheduled within the same week. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the clinician in cases of emergency.
